Have just sent off a huge package of inventory to Shecky's Shop in New York/Soho...some of the edgier stuff with the skulls and daggers and such. This is a design I call "Psycho Ballerina" earrings...I think they are hilarious! One earring has a ballerina charm on top of a dagger charm with a dangling skull and crossbones and a garnet "drop of blood". the other has a revolver charm with dangling skull and crossbones and toe shoes charms and a garnet "drop of blood" as well. These are part of my latest collection largely inspired by the designs and clothing of Ed Hardy...I went into his store on Melrose and practically drooled over all the gorgeously soft tees and cashmere. So fun! These are available at Shecky's Shop @ 489 Broome St. NY, or click To Purchase at right!

adding pics...

Hmmm...just wanted to add a picture to get the hang of it all...this is part of my latest collection for Spring/Summer 2006. Two toned, sterling silver that is oxidized along with goldfilled chains, sterling toggle clasp and a yellow brass bird charm. Labradorite dangles add a dash of color. I love the bird charms...they are a big part of my latest designs. See more of my samples and some one of a kind pieces at margosmithdesigns.etsy.com.

do we always have to talk about jewelry?

That is the almost daily question I get from one family member or another...well, the answer is YES!!! Hey, If I have to start a blog just to talk about jewelry...so be it! I am a jewelry designer and am in the process of getting my website together to "kick off" a web prescense...not an easy project for a self proclaimed computer illiterate! I have just delivered a line to Shecky's Shop NYC...they open Feb. 15, 2006...anyone in NY let me know how it looks?! I will be posting pics of new designs for some feedback in the coming days and a website link so you can see the entire collection once the site is completed...it will be at www.margosmithdesigns.com. Glad to be here and hope to see you on the blog...
